Sir Paul announced today that his new children's book High in the Clouds: An Urban Furry Tail will be released on the 4th of October. 500,000 copies of the 96-page book are being printed by the under the Dutton Children’s Book imprint of Penguin Young Readers Group. Sir Paul worked on the project with children's book author Philip Ardagh and animator Geoff Dunbar. The book was inspired by Tropic Island Hum, the animated film Sir Paul created with Geoff Dunbar. High in the Clouds follows the island adventures of Wirral the Squirrel's quest to save other animals. In a statement, Sir Paul said:
"Having worked on this story and the characters for many years, it's very exciting for me to see things come to fruition in what I think will be a remarkable book."
Doug Whiteman, President of Penguin Young Readers Group added:
"This is going to be a major bestseller for us, and I know that a whole new generation of readers will become fans of Paul." s.
