2005-Feb-26: Sir Paul Visits His New Grandson

The Daily Mirror reports that Sir Paul has already rushed to London's Portland Hospital to visit his new grandson. The baby is Sir Paul's third grandson. His daughter Mary has two boys, Arthur, five-year-old Arthur and two-year-old Elliot.

According to an official spokesman for the family, the baby's parents are "very proud" of their 8 pound son:

"Stella and Alasdhair Willis are thrilled with the birth of their happy and healthy baby boy in the early hours of February 25 in London. Both mother and son are healthy and resting."

Sir Paul's brother Mike heard about the the birth of the baby from a reporter:

"I've been busy on the phone and the Internet all day so I hadn't heard. Tell Stella Uncle Mike is absolutely thrilled. I couldn't be happier. It's quite a surprise. I didn't think the baby was due for a week or two yet. But I'm delighted for Stella and the whole family."
