It was announced today that Sir Paul's historic, Emmy-Award-winning live concert in Red Square will be released on DVD this spring. Paul McCartney in Red Square will also include new never-before-seen concert footage of the concert as well as rare behind the scenes footage of the Sir Paul's visit to Russia, including his private meeting with President Vladimir Putin, and interviews with important members of Russia's cultural community who discuss the importance the Beatles and Paul McCartney played in the development of Russia's future. Sir Paul describes the DVD as being "fully loaded". Kate Winn, A&E Television Networks Vice-president of Video Sales and Marketing said:
"We are thrilled to be releasing Paul McCartney in Red Square on DVD, This program not only features an absolutely electric concert, it's also an emotional document of a truly historic time in Russia and the hope that Paul McCartney and the Beatles brought to the people who lived under the communist regime in the Soviet Union."
