During the London launch of The Beatles Hard Day's Night on DVD, Sir Paul confessed that he hardly ever listens to his own music. That's why a prompter is required during his live performances because he frequently forgets the lyrics to his major hits. He recalled one recent incident:
"During one concert in Europe, I was playing the Beatles song For no one and reading off the auto cue, when suddenly the sun shot straight in my eyes.
"I always forget the lyrics. I've written far too many songs to keep them all in my head."
