2004-Jul-04: Sir Paul and Heather's Move to California

According to the Mail on Sunday, Sir Paul may be moving to Hollywood so that Heather can fulfill her dream of becoming a TV talk show host on CNN. The article quotes a friend as saying:

"'Paul loves Heather and would follow her anywhere. He's agreed to move to the US as she focuses on her career. Heather will have to play her cards carefully on this. The worst thing will be if the children think she is trying to make Paul leave Britain permanently. Things between Heather and the children have just begun to improve. Stella, who never really warmed to Heather, has been getting on with her better of late. All the kids are jetsetters themselves, but it's very important to them that Paul is always around. She always wanted to live in the States but until now Paul wouldn't hear of it. He's a born and bred Briton. But Heather is happier in America and knows this is her chance of making it big time. Paul has said he will move to Hollywood for a short time. Fortunately it fits in well with his plan for the next six months. He's returning to the States to finish his album and he has talked about touring in America next year. They don't have a home in LA, but that won't be a problem. Paul can buy one easily if they are going to be there for a while."

Heather has filled in CNN's Larry King four times and is scheduled to do so again this summer while he is on vacation. There is talk this could lead to her own program on CNN. She has told her friends that the couple will be moving to California with baby Beatrice at the end of the summer. Heather's spokesman confirmed this last night saying:

"'There are no dates yet as it's all still in the process of being discussed but it's very likely that something will transpire shortly. Heather is very excited."

The friend quoted in the article claims that the move is only temporary, that Sir Paul "loves England too much". However, if Heather succeeds in launching a successful television career in America, the friend speculates that move could be permanent since Heather is known to be unhappy living in England, saying she feels she has been "vilified" there by negative publicity.
