Today's Hollywood Reporter contains an interview with former Beach Boy, Brian Wilson, in which he talks about recording "A Friend Like You", his duet with Sir Paul which will appear on this new album, Gettin' in Over My Head:
"Working with Paul McCartney was cool. He got it in three takes; he did it real quick. He did a great job."
After recording the tune, the two musicians "hung out for a while":
"We talked about the Beach Boys and the Beatles - a mutual respect thing, you know?" he says.
Earlier this year, Sir Paul joined Brian Wilson on stage during one of his U.K. performances:
"I was so honored I almost cried. It was such an honor for me."
See April 25 for more information on this album.
