2004-Feb-29: Sir Paul Talks about His "Tropic Island Hum"

In a statement released today, Sir Paul talks about his new animated film, Tropic Island Hum, which will be released on DVD on April 13 in the United States and worldwide on April 19. According to Sir Paul's spokesman, Geoff Baker, the films is the story of a Liverpudlian squirrel who finds love on a tropical island. It was directed by Geoff Dunbar, who also directed Sir Paul's 1984 animated film Rupert and the Frog Song which will also be included on the DVD.

In his statement, Sir Paul spoke of his lifelong love of animation:

"In animation it's good to have a bit of a childlike quality about yourself and I certainly have, it's just something that's in me. "I'm still fascinated by things that fascinated me as a kid - the passion for adventure, humor or romance."
